About Us
Milford Hills Baptist Church is a Great Commission Church that seeks to exalt Jesus Christ, evangelize the lost, and make disciples in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
History
Milford Hills Baptist Church began as a mission of First Baptist Church, Salisbury on October 1, 1955. It was originally called Brenner Avenue Chapel of First Baptist Church. The Mission held worship services in the Salisbury VFW Hall on Brenner Avenue and Sunday School classes met in a duplex apartment on Ackert Avenue. In 1957 plans were made to purchase a site for the construction of a multipurpose church building to meet the needs of a growing congregation.
A 10-acre site on East Colonial Drive in Milford Hills was acquired, groundbreaking services were held on August 24, 1958. Construction began and our Educational Building was dedicated on May 31, 1959. Our name was changed to Milford Hills Baptist Chapel. We remained a mission church until October 2, 1960. On October 1, 2025 Milford Hills will celebrate 70 years.
